We are off to a fantastic start with our financial literacy classes at The Next Door's Freedom Recovery Center. 2013 Membership Drive
Thanks to everyone who attended our membership drive at Blackstone last month We had a great turnout, and saw lots of new faces.
Congratulations to Tammy Paxton of Capital Financial Group, winner of a membership to our AFWA chapter.
The personal training session with Meg Shike Fitness went to Jessica Black from Carter Lankford CPAs.
The members only door prize went to Denisa Jones of Affinion Group - she won the $100 Visa gift card.

Members of the Month - September 2013
Elizabeth Paily has been a member of our chapter since November
of 2011. She has been with LBMC since 2004, and is currently a manager in their
tax department as a part of the Wealth Management Services group. She
specializes in income tax preparation and planning for wealthy individuals, partnerships,
trusts and estates. Elizabeth is a graduate of David Lipscomb University with
an emphasis in accounting and management.
Elizabeth is active in many professional and civic organizations, including the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, Hands on Nashville, and the Salvation Army. She lives in Nolensville with her husband. she specializes in nonprofit organizations. Julie joined AFWA in 2007, and she is one of our chapter’s founding members. She is currently our Vice President, and she has served as Treasurer in the past.
Julie graduated from Tennessee Technological University in 1998 with a Masters in Business Administration. She currently lives in Murfreesboro with her husband, Chris, and twins, Alex and Sydney.

Members of the Month - August 2013
President, Courtney Watson and Board Member, Kim Lockard are the August Members of the Month. Both of these ladies are fantastic assets to our organization. Be sure to stop and talk to them at this month's meeting. Courtney Watson is the President of our chapter. She is employed by Dodd, Drennan & Associates, PLLC as a senior tax accountant. In 2008, she graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan College with an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting, finance & general management. She and her husband Chris recently bought a new home in Lebanon, and they are preparing for a new baby girl due in November! Board Member Kim Lockard has been a member of our chapter since August 2012. A native of Bristol, England, Kim graduated from the University of Plymouth, England in 2005 with a degree in Business Administration. She is an Executive Assistant with The Rainmaker Companies where she coordinates firm and client activities and projects. Kim has a passion for client service and a background in education; she spent a number of years abroad teaching and honing her outstanding organizational and people skills. Kim is a very upbeat and positive bright young woman with a can do attitude. |
